So, the last few months I've really been pulling out my creative side again. I've repainted and covered a couple of desk chairs, found GREAT garage sale bargains with my buddy, Courtney from Not So Homemade and her Mom, and was gifted with a few boxes of old craft supplies from my great Mom-in-Law.
Sooo, I thought I'd post a few things here for your enjoyment!
Here's the most recent chair I vamped up. I found it at a sale about 3 weeks ago. I hadn't gotten a lot of good things and hadn't really found that one GREAT thing until I nearly missed this chair with books stacked on its seat. The owner said that if someone hadn't bought it in the next few minutes she was going to pull it and fix it up to keep. Best thing ever: got it for only $3!!
I have a few other things nearly finished...they just need a few little touches to make them complete! Here's a sneak peek:
I got this little shelf at a local church's youth fund-raising sale...$2. So far I've painted it a dusty purple color, but it still needs to be re-distressed.
And this little cutie (for which I nearly forgot to take a before picture) has been with me since I was a little girl...my Mom bought it at a local flea market where we grew up. I used to sit in it while she was cooking supper....even though my patootie won't fit in it anymore, it's a great stepping stool in the kitchen. So far, I've painted it a tealishly light green blue color with a little white brushed on for dimension...
Baha! How cheese-tastic is this?! Got this for a quarter this past Saturday during our latest garage sale excursion. I will simply paint over it and probably use it to store paint brushes.
Eeck! So very excited about all of this creativeness...and I definitely need the outlet in my life right now.
That's all for now!
